Inside A Wedding Day: Emma & Alex
It was such a joy to spend the day with Emma and Alex as they celebrated their love at one of Jacksonville’s most iconic churches, followed by a modern, reception venue filled with soft light and industrial charm. Their wedding felt like home; filled with laughter, love, and moments we know they’ll want to remember forever. The margaritas were free-flowing, the hugs were genuine, and their dog Cletus brought joy absolutely everywhere.
Moments & Details: Telling Their Story
From the small details at the beginning of the day, to the toasts and the laughs at the end, every detail of this wedding day added up to something unique. What we love most as photographers is when a wedding doesn’t feel like a cookie-cutter event. We aim to deliver images that reflect the real energy of the day, and the stories truly all about our clients. Emma and Alex’s wedding was raw, joyful, and full of life and love.
A Sacred Start: Ceremony at the Basilica
Emma and Alex said their vows at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in downtown Jacksonville. This church is always such a beautiful spot for a Catholic ceremony and we love photographing there. It has this quiet, timeless feel that makes every moment look even more meaningful. The soft light coming through the windows fit the calm energy of the day, and you could feel how real everything was as they stood at the altar surrounded by their favorite people.
Our goal is always to photograph weddings in a way that feels natural and true to the couple. We want the day to unfold on its own so we can capture the little moments that matter most. The smiles between vows, the exchange of rings, the small glances they gave each other. Emma and Alex, their faith, and the space around them made every part of this ceremony feel so genuine and heartfelt.
After the ceremony, we grabbed some time for couples photos right outside the Basilica, soaking in the light and letting Emma and Alex have a few quiet moments together. Then we popped over to Myrtle Ave Brewing for some fun, relaxed shots that really showed their personalities before heading to Glass Factory for the reception.
A Moment For Cletus: The Best Boy
One of the sweetest parts of the entire day was having Cletus right there in the middle of everything. Emma and Alex adore him, and he showed up ready to be part of the celebration. He was such a good boy from start to finish. He wandered around greeting guests, soaking up every pat and hug that came his way, and somehow managed to stay perfectly behaved the whole time. Having him there made the day feel even more like family. It was a reminder that a wedding isn’t just about two people. It is about the little world they have built together and all the pieces of their life that matter to them.
Cletus popped up in so many parts of the day. He hung out during portraits, kept an eye on the action during cocktail hour, and even made a few hilarious cameos once the dancing started. It honestly felt like he had his own tiny celebration going on. We loved being able to capture all of it, because those small, real moments are what make a wedding day feel personal and unforgettable.
Reception: Myrtle Brewing, The Glass Factory & Good Times
The space was this reception at the Glass Factory was an amazing mix of industrial and modern, with exposed brick, old glass, and soft lighting that made it feel warm and full of character. As the night got started, the room buzzed with energy. Emma and Alex were all smiles, and their friends and family were ready to celebrate from the very first song. The dance floor never emptied, and all of their guests partied for nearly three hours straight! Watching it all, from the big moments to the little glances between Emma and Alex, was a total joy. Capturing the energy, the laughter, and the love in the room made it such a fun day to photograph.
