Planning your wedding is filled with excitement, but it also comes with a few unknowns—especially when it comes to your photography experience. We believe that feeling at ease with your photographer makes all the difference, and our goal is for you to feel fully present, completely cared for, and even a little pampered throughout your day.Here’s exactly what to expect when you have Severine Photography by your side on your wedding day.
Before the Wedding Day
From the moment you book, you’ll receive a completely personalized experience - timelines, planning tips, and a collaborative approach that keeps your vision at the center. A few months before your wedding, we will send over a questionnaire to make sure we personalize the entire day to your wishes. Then, a couple weeks before your wedding, we’ll check in one last time to confirm your final timeline, family groupings, and anything else that may have changed.This means you can walk into your day feeling organized and at peace.
Getting Ready
We’ll typically arrive while you're finishing hair and makeup (but the exact timeline will be discussed in our prior meetings), and this is where the storytelling begins. We’ll photograph the beautiful little details (your rings, jewelry, shoes, florals, etc) and those candid, emotional moments that often become the most cherished with your closest friends and family.We gently guide you into the best lighting, and then quietly step back, allowing the joy and anticipation to unfold naturally.
First Look or Ceremony
Whether you’ve chosen to do a First Look/First Touch or wait until the aisle, we’ll be ready to capture every raw, emotional moment. We position ourselves to be as unobtrusive as possible, while still documenting the full depth of the scene with your reactions, your people, and your love.And if you're doing a First Look, we’ll also use that time for some bonus romantic portraits before the ceremony!
Family Photos & Couples Portraits
This part of the day can often feel rushed, but we do our best to make it run smoothly and organized. We guide you through family portraits with care and efficiency, balancing beautifully composed images with time for you to actually enjoy your day. We’ll follow a pre-approved family list, so no one is missed and everything runs smoothly, and then whisk you off for all of the couples photos that you dream of. We’ll give you gentle direction and prompts to help you feel confident, natural, and connected in front of the lens - and it will feel like second nature after your engagement session!
Reception Moments
From the laughter of speeches to the quiet hand-squeezes during dinner, we’re always watching for real moments that matter. We move through the reception quietly, capturing emotion without interruption.And if you’re planning a send-off (sparklers, bubbles, or a private last dance) we’ll help plan the perfect setup for breathtaking, editorial-style photos. After the Wedding
You can always expect a sneak peek within a few days (perfect for sharing and reliving the magic). Then we invite you into the studio within 2-4 weeks to view your full gallery beautifully edited and delivered with some champagne at your reveal session. We will then walk you through exactly how to choose your photos for your album, and pick out the perfect design!
